sauna guidelines
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR SAFETY & WELLBEING AT TISAUNA
Binding Terms & Conditions, House Rules & Limitation of Liability pursuant to Art. 41 & 100 et seq. CO

In short: Your health and a fantastic, relaxing sauna experience are our top priorities! To ensure everyone has a great time, we kindly ask you to carefully read the following points. By purchasing a ticket, making a booking, or entering the event premises, you accept these guidelines as binding General Terms and Conditions (GTC) and House Rules.

1. Your Health Comes First (Personal Responsibility & Liability Waiver)
Saunas, infusions, cold plunges, and cooling down in natural bodies of water are beneficial, but also physically demanding.
-
Listen to your body: Participation in our events, sauna sessions, ice baths, cold exposures, and the use of adjacent waters is entirely at your own risk and responsibility (Art. 41 et seq. CO).
-
Health Check: Please only participate if you feel fully healthy. Individuals with cardiovascular conditions, high blood pressure, open wounds, infectious diseases, acute thermoregulation disorders, or pregnancy are prohibited from participating unless cleared by a physician.
-
Take breaks & drink water: Listen to your body – if you feel dizzy or unwell, leave the sauna immediately. Each participant is personally responsible for taking adequate cooling breaks and drinking sufficient water before, during, and after sauna sessions.

2. No Intoxicants (Alcohol & Drugs)
-
Safety first: Heat and alcohol/drugs do not mix. Consuming alcohol, drugs, or intoxicants before or during the event, as well as entering the premises under their influence, is strictly prohibited.
-
To keep you and others safe, TISAUNA reserves the right to immediately exclude intoxicated individuals from the event without compensation (House rules: no right to a ticket refund).
-
The sauna and all surrounding areas are a smoke-free zone. Please refrain from smoking, vaping or using e-cigarettes in the sauna and in all surrounding areas.

3. Mutual Respect, Hygiene & Property Damage
To make sure everyone feels comfortable, we observe a few simple rules:
-
Follow our team: Instructions given by our staff (sauna guides, event hosts) must always be followed in the interest of safety.
-
Cleanliness & Hygiene: Shower before using the sauna. Always use a large cotton towel on the bench to sit, lie down or underneath your feet to protect your skin from the heat and the wood from your sweat. Keep your feet clean when entering the sauna.
-
Hands off the stove: Adding wood and pouring water on the stove is exclusively reserved for the TISAUNA team.
-
Liability for damage: Participants are fully liable for any damage they culpably cause to sauna infrastructure, equipment, accessories or third parties in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (Art. 41 et seq. CO).

4. Valuables & Personal Belongings
-
We recommend not bringing expensive valuables to the event.
-
Exclusion of liability: TISAUNA completely disclaims liability for theft, loss, or damage to personal clothing, valuables, electronic devices, and personal belongings brought to the event to the extent permitted by law (Art. 100 & 101 CO).

5. Weather, Cancellations & Refunds
-
In cases of extreme weather, safety risks, or force majeure, TISAUNA may cancel the event.
-
In this case, the ticket price will be refunded in full or issued as a voucher. Further claims (e.g., travel or accommodation expenses) are excluded.

6. changes to sauna guidelines
TISAUNA reserves the right to change these guidelines at any time. The amended guidelines are effective as of their publication on TISAUNA's website.

7. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
Exclusively Swiss law applies. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of or in connection with event participation is Bellinzona (Canton of Ticino).
The statutory provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) apply additionally.
