privacy policy tisauna

Last updated: August 30, 2026

TISAUNA doesn't need to know much about you to welcome you in. You can browse this site freely, without handing over a single detail about yourself. Where we do ask for personal information, it's only ever in service of one thing: getting you into the sauna. We ask for what's needed, nothing more, and always with your consent. Your details stay with us and the tools that keep bookings and payments running — we don't sell or trade them, and we don't share them beyond what's needed to run this business.

Who's responsible for your data

TISAUNA is operated by Courtenay Mastain and Stefan Tille, via ala Vigna 4, Moghengo, Ticino, Switzerland.

This policy is written to meet the disclosure requirements of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

What we collect, and why

Visiting the site

Like any website, ours logs some technical data automatically when you visit — browser type, device, IP address, pages viewed, time of visit. This runs through Wix, our website platform, and is used to keep the site working and secure, not to identify individual visitors.

Booking a session

When you book through Wix Bookings, we collect your name, email, phone number, and the details of your reservation — session type, date, time, party size. This is the minimum needed to hold your spot, get you the right information beforehand, and follow up if plans change.

Paying for a session

Payments run through TWINT and PEND, TWINT's booking-and-payment integration with our Wix site. TISAUNA never sees or stores your card or TWINT account details directly — that information is handled entirely within TWINT and PEND's own secure systems, governed by their own privacy policies. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the booking it's tied to.

Staying in touch

If you sign up for updates, we use Wix's email marketing tools to send you news about sessions, pop-up events, and seasonal openings. You'll always know it's coming — no surprise lists, no passing your email to anyone else. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we'll remove you from future sends without asking why.

Cookies

TISAUNA uses a small number of cookies to keep the site running and, where you've consented, to understand how people use it. You'll see a consent banner on your first visit — nothing beyond what's strictly necessary loads until you've made a choice. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookie settings or revisiting the banner.

Where your data goes

We work with a small number of tools to run TISAUNA, and each of them processes some of your data on our behalf:

  • Wix — our website host and booking platform

  • Wix Bookings — manages reservations and related contact details

  • TWINT / PEND — handle payment processing and its integration with our booking flow

  • Wix's email marketing tools — send newsletters and updates to subscribers who've opted in

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone outside these tools except where the law requires it — for instance, a legal obligation, a court order, or to protect our own legal rights.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as Swiss law requires (for example, financial records tied to bookings, which are typically subject to a 10-year retention requirement). Once that time passes, or once you ask us to delete it and no legal obligation says otherwise, it's gone.

An honest note on security

No data sent over the internet — including by email — can be guaranteed completely secure. We take reasonable care to protect what you share with us, but nobody can promise total protection from outside access. If you're sending us something especially sensitive, a phone call or a conversation in person is always safer than email.

Your rights

Under Swiss data protection law, you can ask us at any time to:

  • Know what data we hold about you, and why

  • Correct anything that's wrong or out of date

  • Delete your data, where we're not legally required to keep it

  • Withdraw consent for anything you'd previously agreed to (like marketing emails)

  • Receive a copy of the data you've given us, in a portable format

To use any of these rights, just write to info@tisauna.ch. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you also have the right to contact Switzerland's Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or to pursue the matter through the Swiss courts.

Changes to this policy

If TISAUNA changes how it collects or uses data — a new tool, a new feature — we'll update this page and change the date at the top. We won't make quiet changes to anything that affects your rights without telling you.
